TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

J-Check & iTEP Minimum Technical Requirements

J-Check utilizes the International Test of English Proficiency (iTEP). To successfully test using the iTEP you must meet or exceed the following technical requirements:

J-Check must be taken on a PC desktop or laptop computer – not on an Apple/MAC, iPAD, Chromebook, or smartphone. J-Check incorporates iTEP’s Fotosure security software to prevent cheating and visually confirm and monitor test taker’s identity. So, an activated webcam is required.

Please note: You may not use an iPAD, or iPhone, it must be a PC desktop or laptop computer. You will need a PC with Internet access and headphones with mic. IF you do not have access to a PC computer please email J-Check for further instructions.

Important: A webcam must be activated and pointed at the test taker during the J-Check testing. This is used by our Fotosure software to ensure test security. Failure to have an activated webcam will invalidate your test results. If you do not have a webcam please contact J-Check.
